[MUNHWANEWS English] The Hi Seoul Festival is the best main festivals of Seoul
Under the main theme of 'Let's Play on the Streets' 268 performances will be shown up free of charge. The event will takes place in the autumn and be held along the famed Seoul Plaza (Gwanghwanmun, Chenggye), streets (Sejong, Chenggyecheon, Deoksugung), Seonchon and Seoul Citizens Hall from 1st October to 5th October

Dance and music performances, circus, and more events will be planned the festival with 9 performances of foreign groups , 19 performances of Korean groups and 20 performances of free group and cooperative artists
On 1st October, opening performance "Butterfly has returned" based on Korean folk tale "Shimcheongjeon" will open the Hi Seoul festival at 8pm for 75 minutes.
It is a huge street performance reinterpreting Shimcheong story with a mordert perspective, and connecting it with history of Seoul. As the eminent street art community and artists collaborate, It is possible a large scale of citizen participation
On 5th October as the finale of the festival, Kkeut-jang-dae-ro gives the freedom to play and dream at Sejong-no street from 3 pm to 9:30 pm

The artists and the citizens look back on the festival period through various performances and games. After the colorful and passionate dancing sweep through the streets, exciting percussion rhythms start the public parades and performance and with the splendid flame performance of French street theatre group 'Karnavires', the closing of the festival is expected to build up to a climax.
Hi Seoul festival staff said “Hi seoul festival has expanded citizens' participation program. we hope It will be contributing to the making of global network and developing Korean performance group "
Also, NGOs as child fund will open experience & donation program for any citizen during the festival.
