Bamboo Park. Just reading out the garden's name in Chinese letters that mean 'Green Bamboo Garden', this park is where an endless forest of bamboo trees grow. 

Bamboo Park is situated at Damyang, a bamboo forest about 160,000 ㎡ opened in 2003 of May. It's known for its just-out-of-a-fairy tale scenery. The 2.2km long walking path is in 8 different themed roads from 'Best Friends Road' to 'Lucky Jackpot Road'. The walking path that starts from the park's observation tower leads to more to see such as nature galleries, artificial waterfalls, an outdoor stage and even paths that are lightened up for evening walks. 

Before entering the 'Lucky Jackpot Road', just by a glimpse, you'll take in a grand field of tall bamboos. The sky is even further high than the towering bamboos and it's like being on another planet standing between the bamboo leaves. As every step guides you deep into the forest, the breeze rushes in with the aroma of bamboos. It's a different scent, apart from sweet flowers but it has a sturdy and evergreen hint of aroma that reminds you of its steadiness and patience. 

The green forest vitalizes every effortless step you take, you can feel a great sense of energy from mother nature. Such a different atmosphere we're used to from city forests, the air surrounding this place is much fresher and invigorating.

After taking every walk after walk refreshing oneself, a sign that points to the 'Sung-in Mountain Uphill' await at the end of the 'Lucky Jackpot Road'. A narrow dirt road is lined across between the bamboo forest. As if walking up a bamboo mountain, after a few steps upward on top of a shallow hill a new world is yet to be seen. Unlike the greenest bamboo forest world here you'll encounter a world of land, where only the sunshine gleams along with no bamboo tree in sight.    

The scenery here is very unlike what is seen at Seoul's Kyungbok Palace or Changkyung Palace. The traditional orientation may seem odd but then again very friendly. It's not as grand and spectacular as Kyungbok Palace but it reminds a Seonbi, a Korean scholar roaming around humming poems. A subtle but cozy and gorgeous scent of beauty lies here. 
Bamboo Park is where streams of winds blow through the bamboo trees even in the middle of summer. Most people would plan to go to the beach but it won't be so bad to take a break and enjoy chill time at the bamboo forests, reviving oneself in the middle of bamboo aroma.
