Ganggyung is known for its salty fermented seafood. Situated at Nonsan of Chungchungnamdo, it's Korea's largest market of salted seafood. But there's more to this place, it holds some cultural assets of modern history. 

There are ten sites that cherish the modern days of Korea at Ganggyung, nine of which placed around the downtown of Ganggyung and one at Yeonsan. So it would be better to go by car to Yeonsan, but a walk around Ganggyung will be enough to venture most. Most of the architectures at Ganggyung are greatly appreciated as national treasures still in its original form since its construction during the colonization of Japan.  

If you take the Mugunghwa train from Seoul, you'll arrive at Ganggyung in 2 and half hours. Enough to enjoy the train travel.
