Graffiti king Shepard Fairey(aka Obey Giant) who is leading the graffiti genre into a new code of culture from being a simple street culture, visited Korea for the first time.

Arriving on the 10th, over the two days during the 11th and 12th he finished a 10 by 15m wall art outside of Seoul Arts Center and on the 13th, with 20 students from Beksuk University who are OBEY supporters he did JR's INSIDE OUT project together which is a collaborative work of art using pictures of people now at the tunnel bridge wall of Seoul Arts Center. On the 14th he had a fan meeting / autograph time from 2 until 4pm at his "The Great Graffiti, from Shepard Fairey: Peace & Justice"  exhibition, ending his 6 day long schedule  in Seoul.

This exhibition was a sequel to its last "The Great Graffiti" show now to be curated until April 30th at the Hangaram Art Gallery in Seoul Arts Center. "The Great Graffiti, from Shepard Fairey: Peace & Justice" will be a chance to encounter not only the artistry of graffiti art but also the deep philosophy in it that blends politics, society, culture and the environment. Shepard Fairey became the world's most famous graffiti artist by the 'OBEY GIANT' campaign that questions the phenomenlogy Germon philosopher Heidegger raised with a modern twist and also for his Obama 'HOPE' poster during the 2008 elections.
