Hello, can you introduce yourself?

Hello. I am singer-song writer Lee SulAh who writes songs and sings songs.

On Naver Music introducing part, it has been written as 'Asks for consolation for you want to be consoled' what does it mean?

Normally I got consoled from music and heard my fans got consoled by my music. Music is the field that cannot be done by individual. So when I got the feed back got consoled by my song, I also got consolations. Consolation is not always sad or touching but comfortable and fan sometimes. I wanted to tell musicians also got consolations by fans who listens songs.

On last winter, you worked as 'Guerilladio' DJ and visits today as a guest.

'Guerilladio' is the program with different DJ every 2 months. I got the DJ role after team busking duo <Dabang> whom I know. I feel special to me today as it's not as a DJ but guest. And feels more comfortable as all I need to do is just answering.

When people search Lee SulAh there's always KPOP video broadcasted on S broadcast center. Can you tell behind stories of audition?

I had no chance to sing my written song anywhere, and wanted to show off my written song on big stage. At first, I was just curious without any want. But I was suppressed by co-singers who worked so hard as if it's their whole life. Though, You Hee-yoel's word "Continue SulAh style music" and got cheered. And thought of just continuing my style music.

How did you make the song <Life as a mom>?

I started to live along after entering the university and as I could not go home often, my mom prepares me so many side dishes and fruits. And I just reply, 'It's enough', I re-think the situation in my room and started write <Life as a mom>.

I prepared another song for KPOP stage. On the day my condition was terrible. And singing the prepared song seemed to be hard. So I chose to sing <Life as a mom> and people showed good responses, which surprised me.

It would have been tired when participating music competition program, and you continue to appear on Naver league.

I register for Naver league platform which was at that time fist created. I started the page for recording my demo songs but it was a competition system with ranks for each song. At that time, I ranked the top and got interview, which was so fun. It was more than a competition rather to be musician cheering platform. Fans chose the singers for cheering? Actually, I picked myself. (LOL)

Recently you sang on Sofar Sounds in Incheon, how was it?

I've got a chance to appear on Sofar Sounds in Incheon by get the call from relative person. I sang 6 to 7songs on one of the café located in Eastern Incheon for 40 minutes. Normally people know who is the singer for stage, but on Sofar Sounds, there were people who don't even notice me. It was so fresh.

Now you have two O.S.T, four songs, one mini album with five songs. Can you introduce shortly about the song 'Stay' released on 2017?

When I made the song 'Stay' I was feeling depressed. I had no eagerness to do anything and went to Jeju island on early summer. I love Jeju island and went there often. It would have been nicer if the weather was clean but the wind was strong and fog was all over at that time. The fog was so intense which was scary but I felt rather comfortable. It allowed me a good view for think deeply. In moment, I thought just stay alone is comfortable but wanted someone next to me. Finally, I created the song 'Stay' singing if there's someone next to you, you'll get over it. But in the end, the song ends with the lyrics, "Let's escape with small boat"

I head the song 'Stay' the dreamlike atmosphere and Lee SulAh voice combines so well. It's quite different from her singing ballad songs.

It seems you try hard to communicate with fans by holding event on SNS

I love communicating. There are many people helping me, I easily planned events. Recently after I released 'Stay', I uploaded phone wallpaper with music video steal cut. It was the event giving signature CD for fans who downloads the picture and saved as their phone wall paper for 100%. I wanted to create the event allowing co-communication.

Recently, on Parents' Day, one of my fans sent me thank you message for reminds her of parents with <Life as a mom>. I wanted to pay back and uploaded the video playing the rhythm of <Life as a mom> in piano.

How do you start music?

I studied hard while I was a student. I had a dream to work with music but never dreamed of going to musical schools. People around me worried me going to music fields. My parents especially worried about it so I gave up for a moment and decided to go university. And I had no goals for studying and had no idea which school to go. I was at 3rd grade of my high school. Isn't it fun? I got a slump period. I finished with that cute concerns of 'what to do now' and decided to study extra year and went to dream school.

I thought I must make my parents feel comfortable and had to pay back. And decided to go to university that I wanted and achieved it. And then I also thought of participating on music competitions and show me singing passionately with no worry of rankings. Now my parents cheer me.

You said, "This year you'll want well-compacted achievement". Are you preparing for album?

I have got no certain plan but hope to release song that would count on 10 for 2018. And consider so much.

I have so many music fields want to try. Not with the good result, even if it stays for my practicing songs, I want to try as much as I can. In the mini album there was bright songs included. Even with different music field, it's all my songs so I could do music works joyfully.
